πŸ“¬ About Stable

‍

Our mission is to make it simple to headquarter any business on the internet. Today, we provide companies with a business address and a dashboard to manage their physical mail online. Over 7000+ companies like Gitlab, Glassdoor, and Indiegogo use Stable to automate their mailroom and act as their permanent business address with the IRS, state, and vendors.

‍

The rules that regulate US entities were written in the 1800s. Stable abstracts these antiquated requirements with tools that empower modern companies to move forward faster.

‍

These rules don't make sense for the way we work today β€” work takes place in the cloud and businesses are no longer tied to physical proximity or geography.

‍

We’re on a mission to fix the broken system of entity management. Starting with business addresses and mail, we’re abstracting the complex, archaic systems that make company-building painful and turning them into delightful experiences β€” so that modern businesses have the tools they need to move forward faster.

‍

We're backed by leading Silicon Valley investors like Y Combinator, Craft Ventures, Shakti, Hustle Fund, and founders from companies like Lattice, Apartment List, and FlexJobs.

‍

Our business is at an inflection point. We’re growing quickly with a product people love and we’ve proven we can service companies of all stages and industries β€” from early-stage startups to publicly traded companies in industries like technology, logistics, and property management.

‍

This is an opportunity to join an early-stage startup as one of the first employees and do work that directly impacts the future of how companies are built.

πŸ‘©β€πŸ’»πŸ‘¨β€πŸ’» Role

‍

From early-stage startups to publicly traded companies, thousands of businesses trust Stable to operate their mailroom. A core component of this earned trust is our fast and reliable mail operations, as well as our decisions around which product features to build and prioritize.

‍

As a Data Analytics Lead at Stable, you will play a crucial role in shaping our data infrastructure and reporting, improving our decision-making, and fostering a data-driven culture so that we can keep building the right things and delighting our customers. You will work cross-functionally with product engineering, marketing, sales, and operations teams to monitor and improve the way we run our business, and build data models and reporting systems that inform our strategy and execution. Ultimately, your work will enable us to build a better product and operate even more efficiently than we do today.

‍

This is a foundational role and will be Stable’s first analytics hire β€” an exceptional candidate will have the ability to zoom out and think strategically about long-term analytics and data infrastructure needs while also diving into the details to solve specific analytical challenges.

‍

Stable is growing rapidly, and so is the complexity of our data. Here are a few examples of responsibilities you will own:

  • Deliver Data-Driven Insights and Improve Decision-Making – Design and build dashboards, reports, and data models to provide stakeholders with actionable insights. Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, uncover opportunities, and inform strategy across multiple teams. Own the definition and implementation of the metrics that we use to measure our success.
  • Optimize and Scale Data Infrastructure – Own and enhance data ingestion and transformation processes for AWS Redshift, MySQL, Stripe, and a variety of other data sources, ensuring clean, reliable, and accessible data for the company. Work with engineering to improve query performance and scale infrastructure as we grow.
  • Support Stable’s Data Culture – Collaborate with our marketing, operations, leadership, and product teams to understand analytical needs, provide training sessions to improve self-service analytics, and support predictive modeling efforts to enhance both customer-facing products and internal operations.
  • Leadership and Accountability – Serve as the go-to expert for data and metrics-related questions, ensuring accuracy and reliability of our reporting, covering everything from our ARR, growth, and mail operation efficiency, all the way to project-specific outcomes. Establish clear goals, monitor progress, and measure the impact of what we build.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has a strong attention to detail, and a deep sense of ownership. You will play a key part in building the foundation of Stable’s analytics operations.

πŸ˜€ What you value

  • Be human: Lead with empathy, act with authenticity, and enjoy what you do.
  • Stay curious: Invent novel solutions by asking why, listening, and tinkering.
  • Act quickly with purpose: Focus on what matters, iteratively improve, and move urgently towards the goal.
  • Insist on exceptional outcomes: Strive for excellence and take ownership over the outcomes you deliver.
  • Exceed customer expectations: Create delightful experiences with each interaction.

βœ… What you'll do

  • Build and maintain analytics infrastructure – Develop and optimize data models, pipelines, and dashboards to ensure clean, reliable, and accessible data for internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally – Provide high-quality reporting and analysis to key business stakeholders across the company, including both product pods and our leadership team, ensuring decision-making and prioritization is driven by accurate and meaningful data.
  • Monitor key business metrics – Own the definition and measurement of core company KPIs, proactively flagging trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement. You will be a key player in our quarterly and annual roadmapping: your work will inform our decisions around what we invest in and how we prioritize projects.
  • Improve data accessibility and quality – Ensure teams across Stable have easy access to accurate, well-structured data that supports their workflows and objectives; make it easy for both technical and non-technical teams to query our data and answer questions. Identify and resolve inconsistencies in data pipelines, reports, and dashboards to maintain high-quality analytics.
  • Communicate insights effectively – Present findings in a clear, concise, and actionable manner, translate complex data into meaningful recommendations, and help the team implement those recommendations.

✨ Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in data science, analytics, consulting, or a related field
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain both the full technical details of a data pipeline and analysis, as well as the big picture business context, impact on customers, and connection to company priorities
  • Familiarity with analytics and visualization tools such as Metabase, Tableau, or similar platforms
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to structure unorganized data into actionable insights
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, sales, and operations teams
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, balancing quick wins with longer-term strategic thinking
  • Strong SQL skills and experience building and maintaining data pipelines
  • Nice to have: Proficiency in Python or JavaScript for automation, ETL, and data analysis
  • Nice to have: Experience with AWS Redshift and MySQL
